Before first use of your Le Creuset saucepan, you must ensure all labels are removed, then wash in soapy hot water and dry. If your pan has an enamelled surface then it is ready to use. You should wipe non stick surfaces with cooking oil before use. Please take care never to dry cook using your saucepan - the base of the pan should always be covered with your choice of oil, butter or fat before heating begins. You may use a non stick surface dry, but make sure you do not overheat and never leave the pan unattended.
All Le Creuset saucepans can be cleaned in a dishwasher, but this may dilute the shine of enamel pans over time. this does not affect the operation of your pan. Non stick pans should be wiped with cooking oil after washing in the dishwasher.
